The first Sweat Shack opened its doors in Newhall, CA in 2015 after founders Mark and Jenifer Felan were inspired to create a space where their friends and family could realize the amazing health benefits of infrared heat therapy. As trailblazers in the sauna industry they are excited to now be able to share their expertise and passion for this unique business platform and bring healing and wellness to their communities across the Country and beyond.
Every The Sweat Shack location has a very simple staffing model. Each of our stores typically has 1 General Manager or Owner/Operator, 1 Assistant Manager, and 4-6 part-time Sauna Attendants and Refreshers. We like to keep it simple and easy to manage!
The Sweat Shack franchise fee is $24,900. We wanted to make sure that our fee would make it as easy and simple as possible to open your location! Our Shack Development Team will guide you every step of the way. Our Marketing Dept. will help ensure that your store opens STRONG and our Operations Team will make sure that you have everything you need in place so that your store is ready to GO on your GRAND OPENING day!
The total investment necessary to open a The Sweat Shack location will range from $258,450 - $431,313. This amount includes the $24,900 that must be paid as an initial Franchise Fee to the franchisor. If you enter into a multi-unit agreement with us, the total investment necessary to begin operation of at least two stores ranges from $283,350 - $481,113.

Typically it takes within 3-6 months of signing the Franchise Agreement to open a location. Often the leasing process can hold up some of the time so the quicker this process is started the better. Our Development Team will guide you through the necessary steps so that it is done as quickly as possible based on your circumstance.
We know that the more invested you are the more successful your business will be and we require our owners to be VERY present, hands on, and involved. This could mean 40+ hours a week for the first 6-9 months after opening and we need you to know that up front. Involved owners are successful owners!

We know that the most successful financial outcome is within a community/market you intimately know, we also understand that you are entering into this business because our Sweat Shack brand is focused and integral in today’s health and wellness Market. We strongly encourage any prospective franchisee to pursue this venture in a location where they are familiar or live but if that isn’t the case their investment needs to be based on their passion for the health and wellness industry.
